2006 will be a year of exciting growth for Specsavers Opticians in Cruises Street, Limerick. Store director, Anne Power, explains the additional benefits that the store is introducing, ensuring that Specsavers offers the people of Limerick the best eyecare in the City.

What are the recent developments within the store?
The store has recently developed a specialised contact lens centre for customers with specific contact lens needs.

The contact lens centre provides professionally trained staff, the most up-to-date equipment and a comfortable area for customers to relax.

The staff are extremely dedicated and always friendly and helpful. The great thing about the contact lens centre is that we have tailored our service to solely meet the needs of contact lens customers. Customers arrive in-store, are tested and leave on the same day with their new lenses.

Another recent development is our free and easy access parking for Specsavers customers. As parking in cities is never easy, we decided to make life easier for our customers by providing complimentary parking.

Customers are entitled to park in the Cruises Street carpark for two hours. This is yet another additional benefit for customers of Specsavers in Cruises Street, Limerick.

What does your role as Specsavers store director involve?
My role involves numerous tasks although one of the most important is customer care. I spend a huge amount of my time looking after customer needs and ensuring they receIve the best possible customer service available to them.

Providing excellent customer service is always at the top of the agenda in Specsavers in Cruises Street and is also a high priority for our sister stores situated at the Crescent shopping centre, Limerick and Market Place, Ennis.

I am also responsible for operations in store which involves the overall management of the store which includes everything from staff training to providing frame styling advice on the shop floor.

What have you got in store for customers over the next year?
As well as continuing to provide excellent customer care with great value-for-money specs and contact lenses, we will be running a Motheris Day competition in March to give a special mum a specitacular makeover.


We will also be teaming up with Roy Keane to launch the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind/Specsavers Opticians SHADES campaign for the third consecutive year.
