Top honour for Limerick McDonald's
Limerick employees of McDonald's were lovin' it this week with the announcement that they are working in one of the 50 Best Companies to Work For in Ireland.
According to the Great Place to Work Institute Ireland, the fast food emporium was listed as fourth best workplace in the country.
McDonald's currently employ over 150 staff in their four city outlets-in the Cresent Shopping Centre, Cruises Street, Castletroy and most recently, the Jetland.
"This is the second year running that McDonald's has been included in the 50 Best Companies to work for and once again we're delighted that our employees have given our working
environment the thumbs up in this way," said Michele Ryan, Head of Human Resources and Training at McDonald's Restaurants of Ireland. Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheal Martin congratulated Mc Donald's on the achievement.
Over 100 Irish companies were surveyed this year, in a bid to identify the country's best employers-and the most satisfied workforces.
The views of employees determine if a company will make into the top 50 list. A random selection of staff in each organisation complete a confidential questionnaire, rating their employers on almost 60 categories covering credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie in the workplace.
